Welcome to Linkerly. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Amurot ("we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Linkerly mobile application ("the App") on Android operating systems.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Linkerly, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not download, install, or use the App.

1. Description of Service

Linkerly is a minimal, local-first bookmark management application designed for fast saving, organizing, searching, tagging, and retrieving web links and digital resources on Android devices.

2. Local-First Architecture & User Data Responsibility

A. Local Storage & Self-Backup

Linkerly operates as a local-first application. All bookmarks, URLs, folders, tags, categories, and settings are stored locally on your device in a private SQLite database.

  • No Cloud Storage: We do not host, store, or maintain central cloud servers containing your saved bookmarks or browsing history.
  • User Responsibility for Data Backups: You are solely responsible for maintaining backup copies of your saved content. You may export your bookmarks at any time via the built-in export tool (Profile -> Export Data).
  • Data Loss Exemption: Amurot shall not be liable for any loss, corruption, or unrecoverability of data resulting from device malfunction, operating system updates, hardware failure, app uninstallation, user error, or device loss.

B. Security of Hidden Bookmarks

Linkerly provides a "Hidden Bookmarks" feature protected by native Android biometric authentication. Biometric protection is dependent on your device's security configuration. You are responsible for maintaining secure device passcodes and hardware locks.

3. License & Acceptable Use Policy

A. Grant of License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Amurot grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use Linkerly for your personal, non-commercial use on compatible Android devices owned or controlled by you.

B. Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use Linkerly only for lawful purposes. You explicitly agree NOT to:

  1. Use the App to store, parse, index, or distribute links to illegal, harmful, infringing, defamatory, fraudulent, or malicious content.
  2. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to derive source code, or modify any portion of the App's binary code, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  3. Bypass, disable, or circumvent any security or authentication mechanisms embedded in the App (including biometric lock screens or license checks).
  4. Automated scraping, data harvesting, or abusing third-party servers via the App's metadata scraper in a manner that violates third-party website Terms of Service or rate limits.

4. In-App Purchases, Subscriptions & Billing (Linkerly Pro)

A. Digital Purchases

Linkerly may offer optional premium features or digital content ("Linkerly Pro") via one-time purchases or auto-renewable subscriptions processed exclusively through the Google Play Store Billing API.

B. Billing & Payment Processing

  • All transactions, invoicing, tax calculations, and payment methods are handled directly by Google LLC under the Google Play Terms of Service.
  • Amurot does not collect or store your payment card details, bank info, or billing address.

C. Subscriptions & Automatic Renewal

  • If you purchase a subscription, payment will be charged to your Google Play Account upon confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can manage, pause, or cancel subscriptions at any time via your Google Play Account Settings.

D. Refunds

All payments made via Google Play are subject to the Google Play Store Refund Policy. Amurot does not directly issue cash refunds.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

A. App Ownership

The Linkerly application, including its source code, architecture, visual design, custom icons, brand assets, logos, user interface components, and documentation, is the exclusive intellectual property of Amurot and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.

B. Saved Web Content

All external website titles, logos, domain names, favicons, meta descriptions, and contents linked within your saved bookmarks belong to their respective copyright and trademark owners. Linkerly claims no ownership or affiliation with third-party websites saved by users.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LINKERLY IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

AMUROT EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
  • WARRANTIES THAT THE APP WILL OPERATE UNINTERRUPTED, BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH ALL HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE CONFIGURATIONS.
  • ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF METADATA (TITLES, FAVICONS, THUMBNAILS) SCRAPED FROM THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL AMUROT, ITS DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:

  1. YOUR ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE APP.
  2. ANY LOSS, CORRUPTION, OR FAILURE TO BACK UP YOUR BOOKMARKS OR LOCAL DATABASE.
  3. ANY ACCIDENTAL DELETION, DEVICE FAILURE, OR UNAUTHORIZED THIRD-PARTY ACCESS TO YOUR DEVICE.
  4. ANY THIRD-PARTY CONTENT ACCESSED THROUGH LINKS SAVED IN THE APP.

IN NO EVENT SHALL AMUROT'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO AMUROT FOR THE APP OR LINKERLY PRO IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50 USD), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Amurot and its developers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the App, or your violation of any third-party rights.

9. Modifications to Terms

Amurot reserves the right to revise or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted within the app repository and store documentation with an updated "Last Updated" timestamp. Your continued use of Linkerly following the posting of updated Terms constitutes your binding acceptance of such changes.

10. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Amurot regarding the use of Linkerly.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located within India, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue therein.
